Matriz Design

Matriz Design is an Argentine “furniture lab” founded in 2002 and directed creatively by architect Viviana Melamed. Based in Buenos Aires, the studio designs and produces contemporary collections of furniture, upholstery, and lighting for residential, hospitality, and corporate projects, with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship and materiality. Their work blends urban and natural references through the use of noble woods, hand-finished metals, leathers, and natural textiles, resulting in refined, sculptural pieces that are produced in Argentina and distributed internationally. The brand is widely recognized for its innovative, design-forward approach and has been featured consistently in major design exhibitions such as CASA FOA and international fairs.
